NOTE: This method only works if your smartphone and your firestick both are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

As we all know firestick works on a Wi-Fi Connection. In this case, if you are also connected with the same Wi-Fi connection to which your firestick is connected, you can use your smartphone as a remote for your firestick.

For using your smartphone as a remote for your firestick, what you need to do is-

  1. First, install the Fire TV app from the Play Store or other trusted App Store.
  2. After successfully installing the Fire Tv App, launch the app
  3. Your firestick should pop up automatically on the app without even needing to log in.
  4. Tap on the Fire TV Remote App on your phone.
  5. It will ask to fill four-digit  Pin.
  6. Have a look at your TV screen and you will get the four-digit pin.
  7. Enter the Pin in-app to connect the Fire TV remote app to your FireStick.
  8. A remote-like interface appears on your smartphone with a button.
  9. Now On your remote(smartphone), press and hold the “Home” button for a few seconds.
  10. Then click on “Settings.”
  11.  In “Settings” scroll down and click “My Fire TV“
